AA-USAir Wedding Complete, Lots of Work for the Honeymoon

The merger of American Airlines and USAir took place today; the new company, with American's name and location, and mostly USAir management in its future, began trading on NASDAQ this morning. Over the next months, they will still have to merge fleets, facilities, loyalty programs and more. While they will still be two airlines until they obtain a new operating certificate, look for code-sharing and loyalty program alignment soon. MORE
