Sitting on a plot of land along the entrance to U.S. 30 in Chester, West Virginia is the world’s largest teapot. The structure is 14 feet tall, and 14 feet in diameter. I was built originally as a large barrel to advertise Hires Root Beer. The barrel was converted to a teapot when it was brought to the grounds of the Rock Spring Amusement Park, which was on this site from 1897-1970. The teapot was left on the site, the only remnant of the amusement park.
