World’s Largest Boot

In downtown Red Wing, Minnesota, population 16,500, you’ll find the Red Wing Flagship Shoe Store and the World’s Largest Boot, size 638-½

The boot was constructed to celebrate the company’s centennial in 2005 and built using the same design and materials as those used to create the Red Wing Shoes classic style number 877. It is part of a small museum.

The company’s history, along with The Wall of Honor, celebrates the men and women who wear Red Wing boots on the job.

I actually loving finding little tidbits like this. Makes a trip so much more fun.
