My husband and I have been to New York City several times, but had never made it Washington Square Park for some reason. It has been on our to-do list for a long time, but seemed like something always came up or our plans changed. Happily we were able to visit it on our last trip in October. We found out the park is known as a local gathering spot with many locals as well as tourists. We had a great time people-watching and enjoying the surprising wonderful October weather.
