I don’t recall ever seeing a “Fargo” truck of this type before this encounter. It was obviously a working truck, fitted with a large tank – perhaps to haul water for livestock to remote dry locations. This truck was spotted near Picture Butte, Alberta.


The rounded hood and interesting globe-shaped ornament on it are interesting, at least to me.

So far as I can tell it is from late 1940s – perhaps early 1950s. It could be a Fargo F-series model, such as the F-1 or F-2.

Fargo trucks were produced by the Fargo Motor Corporation, a division of Chrysler, and shared many components with Dodge trucks of the same vintage,.
