While my husband and I were driving home from St Louis on the I-70 we passed through Goodland, Kansas and saw Van Gogh’s huge sunflower painting easel. We couldn’t pass of the photo opportunity.
It is called the Big Easel Project and was created in 2001 by Cameron Cross. This huge Vincent van Gogh sunflower painting is a 24 by 32 foot reproduction of the painting on an 80 foot steel easel. The structure and painting together weigh 40,000 pounds.
