Two beautiful windows preserved at the Cleveland Museum of Art, each a thing of beauty, are stunningly different—especially when you consider that they were designed and made only six years apart.
This luminous piece designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany was made for the Hinds family mansion in Cleveland in 1898. Along with its neighbors, the mansion was demolished in 1930.
If you didn’t already have an idea how revolutionary Frank Lloyd Wright’s early work was, you only have to consider the two windows above. The Wright window was made in 1904 for a mansion in Buffalo, New York.
