If you have ever walked around a city in Portugal, or one of its former colonies, you have probably admired the beautiful tile work that makes up the sidewalks there. Beautiful patterns of white and black marble tiles, all laid by hand. And maintained by hand to this day. At the Praça dos Restauradores is a pair of statues created by Sergio Stichini as a tribute to the workers who built and maintain the sidewalks.
