I recently stayed at the St Louis Union Station Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, a converted train station that is amazingly beautiful.

My room was spacious and lovely, but almost as quickly as I arrived, I went to explore this treasure built in 1894.

Stained glass, beautiful archways, and a 3D light show make this a treasure as well as a comfortable place to stay.

There are also new attractions, where the trains used to pull in to allow passengers to disembark and board. Here are restaurants, the St. Louis Aquarium, and the St. Louis Wheel, a 200-foot observation wheel plus other amusement rides.

The wheel offers a 15-minute ride providing amazing views of the Gateway Arch and the downtown skyline.

I can easily recommend this hotel whenever you visit St Louis.
