The City Palace

Constructed in the year 1559 by the famous Maharana Udai Mirza Singh, this palace is located on the Pichola lake side. This palace is a mix of medieval, European and Chinese architectural styles. The area of the palace is jaw-dropping with terraces, courtyards, hanging gardens, pavilions and much more.

Pichola lake

This is again a man made marvel in Udaipur city. It was created in 1362 and later extended by Rana Udai Singh in 16th century. This amazing lake is flanked by magnificent palaces, temples, hills and bathing ghats. The palaces in the evenings look absolutely stunning when you're on one of these lakesides.

Lake Palace

This is the beacon of Udaipur tourism, and is also a popular wedding hotspot. Jag Niwas or Lake palace is a marvel of a kind due to its architecture. This palace is located on the island of Jag Niwas, in the Pichola Lake, and was constructed in the year 1746. This was then transformed into a luxury hotel, and is now a branch of Taj Luxury Resorts. It has also featured in many movies.

Lake Garden Palace

Lake Garden of Jagmandir is probably an inspiration for Taj Mahal, if legends are to be believed. This place has got a vast history, and is known to be a symbol of friendship among Rajputs and Mughals. A stream of elegant structures make this palace look regal, and this palace would impress any tourist who steps in!
