Threatening skies over Sheridan

Our most recent road trip through Wyoming was mostly a very windy one — the gusts being almost strong enough to push our vehicle off the road.  As we approached Sheridan, just south of Montana, the wind gusts all but stopped, but storm clouds marched in from the west.  Thick dark clouds soon filled the sky.

We encountered patches of heavy rain, but most impressive was when the clouds opened and God-beams of sunlight burst through.

A ‘God-beam’ of light breaks through the cloud layer and touches the ground.
