As I grow older I appreciate giving (and receiving) usable gifts. Something you can enjoy, and then it’s gone. Things like chocolate, jams, and other food items come to mind. Usually much better than a trinket to place on an already crowded shelf to gather dust.
So I think giving chocolate as a gift is a great idea. One of the finest chocolate shops I’ve ever seen was at the Chocolate Museum in Cologne, Germany. The Museum is affiliated with Lindt, so the gift shop features many of their products, although many things are hand-made for sale here.

The gift shop has large panes of fudge of many different varieties….

and assorted cookies….

and pretty little cupcakes…

and even packages of sliced cake….

Everything is wrapped and displayed in a beautiful manner.

A perfect place to shop!
