DrFumblefinger visits the fabulous Alaska SeaLife Center, located in the small town of Seward. The aquarium provides excellent displays of local sea life and is located on Resurrection Bay.

DrFumblefinger enjoys fresh sockeye salmon, plentifully available in the Pacific Northwest during the summer months. He enjoyed see the Copper River in person as this is where most of the salmon he’s cooked originate.

Kodiak is at the heart of Alaska’s salmon fishing industry. But this is not a salmon any fisherman would want to catch.

One of the pleasures of traveling is talking to local folks whenever that’s possible. This couple—happy with their harvest of coho fillets from a half day of fishing—were friendly and offered very helpful advice.
