Gumbo was visiting the American Civil War Museum in Richmond’s old Tredegar factories, places where many of the supplies and weapons used by the confederacy were manufactured.
Gumbo was visiting home of James and Sallie Dooley, known as Maymont. The mansion is located at 1700 Hampton Street, Richmond, Virginia.
George G shares a visit to beautiful Ashcroft Hall, a Tudor manor house which is more than 500 years old. It was built in England, purchased by an American, disassembled and later reconstructed in Virginia.
I’m sure there must be some place without birds, but I haven’t been there. And everywhere I have been, the birds have caught my attention….
