Chrysler Corporation introduced the DeSoto in 1928, as a mid-priced car intended to compete with the Oldsmobile and Studebaker. The CF (Series CF Eight) was introduced in late 1929 for 1930 production and contained a straight 8 engine.
I think this sedan is from about 1930 and likely is a CF but can’t pinpoint it more specifically. Still this was an attractive and well-maintained vehicle.
