Spotted on the Road: 1956 Ford Crown Victoria, Spokane

I came across this car while leaving one of my favorite breakfast spots in Spokane. It was parked in front of a garage and seemed to be in terrific condition. I believe it’s a 1956 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria. Like many cars from that era, it’s rich in chrome and details.

The Ford Fairlane was sold between 1955 and 1970. The name is derived from Henry Ford’s estate, Fair Lane, near Dearborn, Michigan.

They just don’t make them like this anymore.

I keep telling people nothing is forever. The new Cars of today cannot hold a candle to the cars I drove in the 50 @ 60
