I spotted this nicely restored classic Dodge truck while exploring rural Alberta a few years ago, near the town of Picture Butte. Best I can figure the truck originates from about 1940-41.

The truck carries the UFA logo (United Farmers of Alberta co-op), and is a fuel tanker for “Maple Leaf Gasoline”, so it almost certainly played a role in prairie farming.

It is not surprising that most Alberta farmers I talked to (and I knew several) are much more interested in classic trucks and pickups than in cars. Trucks played a pivotal role in developing the economy of the prairies.
