Sky High for the Milky Way

There is something special about the Uinta Mountains in Utah. They are the only range in the Rocky Mountains that run East to West. I love it because the altitude is high, and the air is dry. Almost free of moisture. This lends well to great shots of the Milky Way. I haven’t gotten fancy enough to do multiple layers. This was just one exposure. The little cabin and lights in the foreground seem to add some warmth to an otherwise vast and cold universe.
