Re: Cruise lines drop Puerta Vallarta over violence

GarryRF ·
I was in Puerta Vallarta in June last year. Not the friendliest place I've been to. It was a busy working city. Not the sanctuary of paradise I was expecting. Very disappointed. So many arrogant people. I was moved twice from room to room in 2 weeks. Each time the Staff at "Secrets" said it was for building repairs. Each time a Wedding Party with 4 adjoining rooms moved in. The Hotel told my tour operator it was my own fault for asking to be moved.

Re: High-speed WiFi spreading at sea, some free

Jonathan L ·
On a recent Norwegian cruise the charges for wifi were very high ($25/day), and people said that the speeds were awful. While these prices are "better" they would still stop me from using wifi on my cruise.

I had a look at Mark di Suvero's other artwork and have found that I'm not impressed with his output. Waste of a million Dollars in a deprived area. Liverpool Docks Cranes Heavy Industry in motion. 433 feet high. Living Art.

Re: HMY Britannia.

PortMoresby ·
I enjoyed this peek into HMY Britannia very much, having only seen it from the outside when it wasn't open. The only jarring note is the unfortunate choice of upholstery fabric with the carpets (or vice versa) in the Queen's lounge. More Labour cost-cutting? Otherwise, what a lovely place to spend one's "holiday". Thanks, Ian!

Thanks for this - it brought back many nice memories! I have visited the garden several times over the years and I agree with your verdict - it truly is a world-class botanical garden. (Despite having been there on a number of occasions, I somehow missed Gagarin's tree, or at least the plaque. I shall look out for it next time!)

Re: The Royal Chapel, Stockholm

My favourite place in Stockholm as I fell in love with the architecture. It's such a sober coloring and it did took my breath away (even I might sound over exaggerating but that's how I felt). Definitely worth a visit even it's short or take your time to observe the detail (even pictures can't justify its beauty).
