Re: Gumbo's Pic of the Day, August 27, 2015: Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Red Rocks Park, Colorado
Thanks for a great piece on a great amphitheater! A really cool restaurant is very close ,The Fort, and I'd highly recommend it if you see Red Rocks again. In the 90's , President Clinton took the G-8 summit up to have dinner there. http://thefort.com/the-history-of-the-fort/

Re: Erasmus Hall, Brooklyn, NY: Where Gumbo Was (#81)
Didn't realize that PS 165 was also by Snyder. I attended 1st grade there in 1950-51 and spent a lot of time outside the Principal's office. I angered my teacher by reading (which had not been taught yet) when I was supposed to be cutting paper. Incidentally, Erasmus and Morris were part of a package deal. Each of the boroughs of the newly-merged New York City got one brand-new and large high school. Curtis in Staten Island, Flushing in Queens and DeWitt Clinton in Manhattan were the others,...

Re: In Search of Cheesesteak
Ron B - It is a great piece. Fortunately for all of us, PHeymont is writing on TG. I have to say even Geno's at the Philadelphia Airport is decent. I sometimes make a connection through there just to eat. President Clinton is well known for ordering the wrong thing too. At the hot dog stand Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur, in Iceland, everyone tells you to get it with everything, not only mustard, like the President did.
