Re: Subyard-Okhla Market, Delhi
One of my favourite parts of travel is experiencing the customs and lifestyle of where you are, away from the tourist areas. People tend to think of things from the perspective of how things are "back home". That is never the case and it is what makes travelling so wonderful. You get to experience the whole mosaic of humanity, see the differences in how others live and learn that we are all more similar than different. Thanks for a small look at one aspect of daily life in Delhi.

Will sunken treasure mean more tourists for Colombia?
Colombia has found a 1708 shipwreck, believed to be the most valuable sunken treasure ever, off the coast of Cartagena. The treasure is worth $2 billion or more, and has been the object of searches and claims almost since the day the ship, the San Jose, was sunk by a British ship that was trying to take its cargo. Now that Colombia's President has announced the find, can gold- and thrill-seeking scuba divers be far behind? Even the chance of a doubloon or two might be enough to perk up...

Re: Government Opens Up The Azores To Airline Competition
The Azores were not a place I'd considered before reading your post this morning, Rob. I went to my favorite sources, AirBnB and Streetview and was pleasantly surprised. I found a number of rentals, including small houses, for under $40 a night and how can you not love a town, Ponta Delgada, with mosaic patterns in the sidewalks! To top it off, there are 2 tea estates on the island, one, Gorreana, since 1883. With Portugal beckoning, maybe a flight to São Miguel is also in my future. Thanks...

Re: London's tiny landmarks celebrate 150 years
You will see these blue plaques all around the UK. Canada. Europe and Australia. Rumour has it they have migrated to the US too. You'll find over 100 in Liverpool, England where I live. The most visited is the plaque to John Lennon born here in Liverpool. Murdered in New York. Paul McCartney may get one - but only 20 years after he passes away. He's in no rush - so I think he's avoiding New York. Lennon mosaic in Central Park NY

Re: Will sunken treasure mean more tourists for Colombia?
Great story! I would presume the Columbians have their treasure ship under pretty tight wraps, but that won't stop a few treasure hunters from trying to scavenge a bit of it for themselves. Has the makings of a great movie.
