Re: Finishing college. Need help planning trip to U.K,
England is only as big as Florida ! I haven't seen a Guide book that sub-divides us! Wales is full of Castles, Mountains and Lakes. Tourists often divide England between the North and South. The North is often cooler and wetter than further South. But your Dollar will go twice as far up here in the North! And we're much friendlier. Have a look at places you'd like to visit. York (the old one) will keep you busy for 2 days. Train or Bus from Liverpool. Or a day or two in Europe from Liverpool...

Re: In Egypt: Sleeping
As ever, a succinct and informative post from PM. It definitely gets its teeth into the eternal travel dilemma - how to feel comfortable when you're unconscious ! I always maintain (in life generally) that the greatest gap lies between expectation and reality. PM also found the smallest; that between scalding and frigid on an unfamiliar shower 😆😎

Re: New trend: airport lounges for non-members
Twice I've used a commercial lounge at the Hong Kong Airport. After the long transpacific flight, nothing is nicer than a shower and a quiet place to stretch out before going on. I'm surprised it's taken so long for the concept to catch on in the US.

Re: Stinky Seniors - This One's for You
While I sometimes misbehave, I try hard to not be kicked off planes. I confess, though, I did once not quite get into a country and was threatened with being put on a plane I didn't want to get on. I laughed, which didn't improve the situation. My only experience of being an almost-prisoner. They did feed me, a group feed with other almost-prisoners. But I was allowed to shower, so wasn't smelly. Eventually, a respectable friend of a friend arrived and they let me finish getting into the...

All A’board - Pick a Cabin, Any Cabin!
Let me just say, straight up, that no one really cares what kind of cabin you are in. By the time you are friends and meeting up for drinks and dinner, where you sleep is not really going to be much of a concern. Generally speaking though, every cabin has its advantages and disadvantages. But when it comes down to it, it’s all about size. When it comes to...
