Re: Boston in the fall - suggestions please!

GarryRF ·
Take a look here for some ideas. Most have All-Inclusive packages. But that doesn't stop me going off exploring on the bus and getting a B+B overnight ! You're not glued to the hotel. Plus you don't want to be on the go EVERY day. Relax and take in the countryside. https://www.thomascook.com/holidays/caribbean/cuba/

Re: Finishing college. Need help planning trip to U.K,

Paul Heymont ·
Here's a link to the current rates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Passenger_Duty The rates are based on distance from London to capital of the other country; for U.S., that's 3661 miles and the rate converts to about $108, twice that for any class above cattle class. The APD particularly bites for Caribbean people living in UK; they're in the next band up and that means a family of 4 visiting home pay about $750 round trip on top of the tickets!

Re: Where's a Warm Spot for March

DrFumblefinger ·
Welcome, Gulliver, and two weeks will give you a nice break. I'm not sure where you're traveling from. Easiest and cheapest place for a warm break from North America is to head south, especially to Florida or the Caribbean, or from the West coast to Hawaii or Arizona. But the south of Europe is also quite nice this time of year. Italy, Sicily, Greece are places I'd consider going, depending on what interests you and where you've traveled before. Do any of these interest you? Are you...

All A’board - Pick a Cabin, Any Cabin!

Vikas Bhatnagar ·
Let me just say, straight up, that no one really cares what kind of cabin you are in. By the time you are friends and meeting up for drinks and dinner, where you sleep is not really going to be much of a concern. And if the potential new friends do have some sort of an issue, are they really the sort of people that you are likely to hang out with? Generally speaking though, every cabin has its advantages and disadvantages. But when it comes down to it, it’s all about size. When it comes to...

Has anyone used their Enhanced Drivers License to travel to Canada or Mexico?

Travel Rob ·
I'll include the info below from the DHS website on traveling with an Enhanced Drivers License (EDL) under certain conditions. Has anyone done this and does Mexico and Canada accept those for EDL's for entry easily? I like avoiding taking a passport, if I can, because I wrinkle the pages easily and worry about moisture. So far I haven't gotten the passport card, but I would get the EDL when it becomes available in a state I'm living in. Thanks! According to the DHS website: "State-issued...

When looking at the lists of the most common travel destinations in Fiji, Taveuni is usually not listed. This is such a shame since there are many reasons why you should check out this island.
