Re: London's tiny landmarks celebrate 150 years

GarryRF ·
You will see these blue plaques all around the UK. Canada. Europe and Australia. Rumour has it they have migrated to the US too. You'll find over 100 in Liverpool, England where I live. The most visited is the plaque to John Lennon born here in Liverpool. Murdered in New York. Paul McCartney may get one - but only 20 years after he passes away. He's in no rush - so I think he's avoiding New York. Lennon mosaic in Central Park NY

Re: California Gardens 2017: Filoli, the House

PortMoresby ·
The day I was there, a weekday, there were very few visitors, especially in the house, and no docents to tell me I couldn't take pictures, or signs to that effect. So I assume it's allowed. There were more gardeners in the garden than visitors which makes it easy to take pictures, which you'll see next week. One evening a month artists and photographers are invited to book and set up to paint or use tripods, this month on the 24th, https://filoli.org/event/artis...-2/?instance_id=1167 See...

Thank you for the fantastic photos. I am a huge Roman history buff, especially in regards to the Romans in Britain. Top of my bucket list is to hike the length of Hadrians wall one day. I wonder if anything built by us now will stand the test of time as well as some of the ancient sites around the world.
