Amazing pictures of an incredible place. We were there in October right after the set up the rink. It was so cool to see it up and running. Still wished we had been able to go back in December to see if all decked out for Christmas. It was still beautiful in fall. Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures.

Not a big surprise that it would be in San Diego, with Encinitas just to the north, the poinsettia capital of the universe. http://www.californiagreekgirl...ncinitas-california/

Looks like a lot of fun...in a place without the snowy weather we get in the north. We were just in Chile, where it is summer, but Santa Claus is everywhere...along with American carols! 'Bad' weather just can't stop the holidays!

Your post brought back many wonderful memories of past visits to Knott's. We also lived in California years ago (and have since moved away, as have so many) and made a point of visit Knott's every Holiday season because our kids enjoyed it so much. The place is busy, but not nearly as crowded as Disneyland and the admission much more reasonable (probably about half or even less). The park is wonderfully decorated and there were unexpected treats for the kids -- their first toboggan ride down...

Thank you all for the comments. Makes me wish I was able to go this year. Then you have to go and mention Mrs Knott's Country Kitchen, lol. Now I am wanting some of those hot little biscuits with Boysenberry jam, yum Oh well, maybe next year, lol. Have a Merry Christmas everyone.

Those igloos and Northern Lights would be fascinating to stay in and see. Never thought about visiting Finland in the winter -- maybe time to. Thanks.

I relish memories of those festive Christmas markets in the bitter cold and often snow that get you in the holiday mood. The warm glühwein and grilled sausages on a roll with senf (mustard) helped warm you up. My favorite market was Baden-Baden.
