Getting around the UK is very easy using Public Transport. Students travel around the country all the time - going to Uni and back home for the weekend. Hi Dreamer I can only tell you about my experiences... 1) How long? It depends. Apartment rental have been around in Europe for a long time. It used to be mostly for a week from Saturday to Saturday, but mostly anything goes now. 2) Buyer beware - It will be up to you to research the neighbourhood. You can do that many ways. Yeah, I'm still brainstorming. I am considering, if we can rent a car before we leave Rovinj and if it is allowed cross borders into Trieste, spend our time in Trieste and then onto Plitvice. We can then drop the car on our way to Ljubljana--Zagreb if we have to and then train/bus to Ljubljana. Those bloody gorgeous lakes. They sure know how to complicate things! ;-) Ok, so do I, too. But again, if I regret not attempting to visit them, then they are worth the attempt to get to.

The cost of the rental-company provided insurance is nearly always a VERY bad deal. It's generally only a collision-damage waiver In nearly all domestic instances, it only covers beyond your own insurance, so you may be spending $20 a day to cover only $500-1000 worth of benefit 2. In a report published this week, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Coronavirus called on ministers to discourage all but essential overseas travel and introduce stronger protections against COVID-19.
