I love this post. It poored the day I went to Sintra. All I saw was the National Palace, rain and fog. Thank you for all of these great pictures of places i would love to actually get to see when I go back Portugal.

We got lucky in Sintra, but it rained for 2 days straight in Porto when we were there.

I was hoping to go to Portugal this year, nonStop, but had to postpone it because if my dad's poor health. Hopefully 2015!

As I said, the guest rooms are not actually in the old palace itself, but in a modern block next to it. However, they were well-appointed and quite comfortable. We had a pleasant balcony - ideal for an hour's relaxation after a long sight-seeing day.
