Everyone's been very helpful! I can't tell you what a great welcoming and helpful group of people you are. My uncle is an employee of Delta, so he has some kind of free ticket that requires me to fly on Delta only (no partners). I will have him check into the dates. I like the idea of flying up to Manchester, slowly working my way to London then returning from Paris. I think going to Amsterdam is more than I can bite off now, plus I want to spend the time seeing stuff, not traveling all the...

Re: A shout-out for Ryanair...no kidding!

GarryRF ·
Ireland's Ryanair has overtaken Lufthansa as Europe's biggest airline by passenger numbers. Lufthansa's 109.7 million passengers last year fell short of the 117 million passengers reported by low-cost carrier Ryanair last week, a 15% increase on the previous year, as Ryanair pulled in passengers with low prices. Any airline that gets me across Europe for $15 US (one way) can be as rude as they like. But Ryanair have always been a courteous and professional company to deal with. Delta and...

Re: Paris Authentic

This was really a neat travel experience made neater with the old car. We did like Paris and enjoyed our time there. Our 2014 Italian pilgrimage will have us returning through Detroit, which has a nice airport with comfortable amenities. We used Delta skymiles to pay for a portion of the tickets and the returning Paris option was not available. Anything is better than JFK Terminal 2.

I'll see your Terminal 2 and trump it with a Heathrow T3 to T5 transfer! Actually, the good news about Delta at JFK is that Terminal 2 as you knew it is gone. Most of Delta is now in newly-expanded T4, T3 has been physically dismantled, and T2 reconfigured for Delta Connection and some domestic flights...much different.

Paris Authentic

This past August we decided to visit Paris for the first time after traveling in Europe for thirty-three years. However, the primary reason to see Paris had more to do with Delta Airlines than the city, itself. Delta offers direct flights from...

Frequent Flyer Strategy - Delta

One strategy we always use when booking any award ticket with Delta is to book my award ticket separately and then make my wife's ticket immediately after. The reason: When you book both together not only will you not receive credit for mileage, which...

Re: Making Connections For Connecting Flights

The time should work, since Delta and Air France are close at CDG. Your NY flight, whether it's operated by Delta or Air France, will arrive at Terminal 2E, which serves international routes. You'll be guided/herded to the Immigration queue to enter the Schengen area. Depending on your status with your airline, they may give you a voucher for the SkyPriority lane that moves faster. Once you're through, that's it for passports, because your flight to Vienna is an inter-Schengen (domestic)...

Re: Some of the best small town festivals in America

Southernboho ·
One of the most unassuming places for a festival is Clarksdale, MS. "You've GOT to go," they said. "It will change your life!" It is not a supersonic, hyped up, over the top festival, though it has grown over the years, but there is not another that presents you with true local Mississippi Delta culture all at once, than the Juke Joint Festival. You wouldn't believe it, but it has international fame. Even if you don't like blues, you will absolutely love it, live!

Adventure Atlanta: Stories of Exploration and Discovery

Shahzaib rajput ·
Have you ever traveled? Many people need to learn how to express their travel experience through writing. Travel writing is a skill when a writer expresses his feelings about their travels very interestingly to grab readers' attention and compel them to dive deep into their imaginations as if they were there themselves. What makes a writer a good writer at this? Good writers make their stories so adventurous that people read them so excitedly. When we read an adventurous travel story, it...
