It’s holiday time at Santa Claus Village in Uzbekistan this year, a joint effort between Finnish and Uzbeki interests.
The village opened December 10 at the Green Hills Resort, sponsored by Saipro Group and Finnish developer Honkarakenne, a company known for it sustainable wooden buildings. The whole project operates under a license from the Santa Claus Foundation, a Finnish group whose purpose is to develop and maintain a global image of Finland as the true Christmas country and the home of Santa Claus.
Guests can take part in the festive Christmas atmosphere, interactive theatrical performances, and various entertainment programs. The village also aims to showcase Finnish culture to both local and international visitors.
