Traditional 'Heurigen' Food, Austria
This 'Stelze' is the same as a Bavarian 'Schweinshaxe': a grilled pork knuckle. It is one of the traditional dishes of the wine taverns of Eastern Austria. It takes skill and time to produce a good one and, sadly, it has become a relatively rare sight.
