(Entrance to the Chocolate Museum, Cologne)
Cologne is best know for its wonderful Cathedral, which is a must-see for anyone visiting the city. It has a lot of great restaurants, pubs and shops, but when my wife and I returned to Cologne this past fall we made our way straight to the Chocolate Museum.

We weren’t so much interested in seeing the displays on how chocolate is made, but instead wanted to visit its fine cafe. It was a cool rainy fall day and a cup of hot chocolate was exactly what we were after.

If you are counting your calories, this is definitely not the place to visit, but if you are ready for some decadence then try a cup/glass of their hot chocolate. Take a look at this beauty! It tastes even better than it looks — rich chocolate flavor, not too sweet, and very creamy.

I’m a fan of Black Forest Cake and as they had some at the cafe, my wife and I shared a slice. It was very good, but not as wonderful as the hot chocolate.

The cafe has a variety of other beautiful pastries — most anything to suit your fancy.
