Monday this week was a public holiday (UK) so I went off in search of new lambs being born in the local farms. No lambs yet - but the Aberdeen Angus family were having a family day ! Had to wait for an hour before the young Angus got to his feet.

I thank Dr. Fumblefinger for this post. His pictures remind me of the splendour of the scenery of Alberta, reminding us that there is more than the world-renowned wonders of the Canadian Rockies. Back in May, I visited the excellent Bomber Museum in Nanton (see previous posts on Travelgumbo), but I took these photos on the road west from Nanton towards Highway 22.

Curious Cattle

One never knows when a travel moment can become a lasting memory....   While driving to Waterton Lakes National Park in southern Alberta (the twin park to Montana's Glacier National Park ), I pulled off the road for some photos of the scenery, and was left with a different memory.
