So we're looking for two adjoining countries like somewhere on this map. Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Burma and Cambodia seem like top contenders. Which two would the bridge connect?

Ah but then it would have to be in one of the 2 countries mentioned by Jonathan L - n'est pas, mon ami? (sorry, my Hercule Poirot mode.... :-) ). Looks a bit like this roof in my pic attached - might I be close? Might Wat Pho describe it adequately?

In Cambodia a similar...

It's always good to see the art and beauty of emerging nations. Far from the images that we had in our minds if we remember recent history. My Daughter has travelled extensively in Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand and tells amazing stories of some of the local food. Which completely deters my wife from venturing into this part of the world. When we were in Bali and Singapore she survived on McDonalds ! Give me Fish Head soup and Chicken Porage any day !

Well thank you, esteemed Gurus! It is just SO photogenic and almost surreal in its beauty and exotic creatures. A continual "trip" to experience. And how do you ever truly capture the "essence" of the temple.... Just keep trying I guess....

Sunrise is an hour away as I make my way along the wide pathway to Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world located just north of Siem Reap.
