Didn't realize that PS 165 was also by Snyder. I attended 1st grade there in 1950-51 and spent a lot of time outside the Principal's office. I angered my teacher by reading (which had not been taught yet) when I was supposed to be cutting paper. Incidentally, Erasmus and Morris were part of a package deal. Each of the boroughs of the newly-merged New York City got one brand-new and large high school. Curtis in Staten Island, Flushing in Queens and DeWitt Clinton in Manhattan were the others,...

One of my all-time favorites, in a town I adore. Thanks for the lovely photos. Now I can gaze at them and pretend to be back there. Sigh!

It's a great church! I loved visiting it. If you like astronomy, be sure you visit the grave of Tycho Brahe within the church.

The facade in the first picture makes it look gray, when in fact it's bright white.

Perhaps the most European of any of the churches in the America! A beautiful place and one I need to visit sometime again. Thanks for the informative post, Samantha!
