I believe Airports should be judged solely on whether you had a pleasant experience. There is no way Orlando isn't in the Top10. New York is a disgrace. But I pass through as an alien - US residents see no problem. Philadelphia is a dream. Excellent Airport.

GarryRF, by bimbo selling a car, I presume you mean the guy in the blue t-shirt above, right? The ones in the bottom photo are just mannequins in frilly color coordinated wraps. And a man can dream. No question that the Mercedes product is a top-notch one.

A great tribute! I've always liked the songs of Tom Petty but I listened to them differently when I lived in Gainesville, Fl, his home town. Although a cute town with the thriving University of Florida, part of the town feels like they got left out of that success and dream of escaping to places of more opportunity. In his case he used his talents to escape his father. The city is rightfully proud he was able to make it big in California.

I wouldn't dream of occupying while stabling in the train rest room, but in the waiting room? I thought that's what they were for. A wise man, or FaMale, should know better than to leave a nice comfortable clean place and get on a train in some parts of the world. It was a lesson it took me several trains to learn on that trip.

This fascinating collection of art started as the dream of Samuel Hill who was president of the Seattle Gas and Electric Company around the start of the 20th century. Thanks Samantha, I'd love to visit Cooperstown. When I saw Hank Aaron's boyhood home at Mobile's minor league stadium with all it's incredible baseball memorabilia, I knew I had to see the Baseball Hall of Fame one day. Thanks for showing me what to expect!

Hi Rob, it is a really cool place to visit. I had been to the Negro Hall of Fame in Kansas, but not the one in Cooperstown. It was so worth the wait! Thanks for mentioning Aaron's home in Mobile. I would like to see it someday too. Have a great weekend

This has been by far TravelGumbo's most popular blog so far. Some questions we had answered from followers. Thanks! The address of the field was 13155 North Broadway, Cortez, Colorado. According to custom rod and restoration, the bulk of the property was sold and he just took o r moved the last of the cars. So good PHeymont took the photos in the fields heyday!

I'm a truck driver and every time I pass this field I pull over and take pictures. I was there again on Dec. 20, 2013. Sadly most are now gone. Noticed some where no longer there from when I stopped in February 2013 and July 2012. There's probably only about a dozen that remain now. In fact if you view it from google earth you can see the empty spaces where they once stood. Glad I found your post. I've always wondered what the story of this field was. My English son collects old English Cars. He's rebuilt about 5 so far and enters them in shows. But he lives in Delaware ! It's not unusual to pack a replacement Floor Pan for a Mini in my Luggage when I travel from the UK to Philadelphia!

Some of them look almost rusted through, but others seem to have at least decently preserved bodies that could be easily restored, I would think. I love these old cars! They certainly don't make them like this anymore.

Lucky you! Yemen is high on my wish list but I may have missed my chance on this one. I sailed past not long ago but not the same, by a long shot, as my dream of staying in one of those beautiful buildings in Sana'a.
