Where in the World is TravelGumbo (#59)

WITW59Since Roderick Simpson was able to solve the last puzzle (#58-top of Eiffel Tower) with only a fragment of the building, here's a chance for the rest of you to do likewise.

This is part of an important building that provides an important service to its city. Nearly every city has one, but their appearance can vary quite widely.

So where is Gumbo, and what and where is the building?

THE RULES

  1. Share your suggestions, hints and discussions with others by posting them here as comments...
  2. If you absolutely know where it is....please give others a couple of days to work on it before you pounce. If the answer is burning your fingers, e-mail it to suggestions@travelgumbo.com and we'll publish it Thursday night...
  3. To post here, you need to be  a member...but that's free and easy.  Just click HERE

So, exactly where is Gumbo today?  Please be as specific as possible.

Here's some help with what it's not!

  • No trains stop at this building (but they do nearby).
  • No chance here at fruit and vegetables (but you can get information about them)
  • And: Nowhere in Europe!

Congratulations to MAD! That's the one, and it's the world's largest single library  building (or so they say!)

Read more about it in the reveal tomorrow...it (and the history of the Chicago libraries) are fascinating.
