Where in the World is TravelGumbo (#125)

WITW125-1

Once again, Gumbo is on the move, and this time he's abandoned the urban/bucolic Bronx for a far different place. Some things about his location may seem obvious, others not.

As usual, we ask that you not jump too quickly if you're sure you have the answer; give others time to chime in and see if you can all find your way to the end. And when we've come to the end, I'll tell you not only where this is, but a fascinating story of a man closely associated with it. So...

THE RULES

  1. Share your suggestions, hints and discussions with others by posting them here as comments...
  2. If you absolutely know what and where it is....please give others some time to work on it  before you pounce.  Email us your answer to suggestions@travelgumbo.com.  We acknowledge everyone who correctly answers the puzzle when the "reveal" is posted.
  3. To post here, you need to be a member...but that's free and easy.  Just click HERE

So,  where is Gumbo visiting today?  Please be as specific as possible.

The Puzzler really hopes to hear more today from the guessers...this usually works best when folks trade questions, hints and more.

Today's clue shows another side of the church that is the answr to "Where in the World is TravelGumbo?" It's a stained glass window that is very modern in style, and contains a significant historic reference (as do several others in the building).

And here is the last clue, before the reveal is posted tomorrow. Two members have already submitted correct answers by e-mail—will you be next?

Today's clue gives a pretty direct indication...
