As airlines begin to feed the 737 Max back into their flight schedules, there has been anticipation that many passengers would do their best to avoid flying on it, but so far that hasn't been the case.
Four weeks after GOL airline in Brazil was first to put the revised plane back into commercial service, and a week after American Airlines did the same in the U.S., there are few reports of passengers asking for flight changes to other planes, and load factors have been normal.
Airlines have generally said they would allow passengers to make such changes, but have hoped it would not be necessary, since the planes will be a large part of air fleets for a number carriers. American owns 24 and has another 76 on order, and Ryanair, the biggest European operator, has 210 on order.
