It's hard to beat Hawaiian sunsets. This one was taken from the northwestern corner of the Big Island, looking in the direction of Asia (the next landmass due west of here). We were driving from the cowboy town of Waimea towards Hawi on the Kohala Mountain road. This road winds up over the old Kohala volcano and we were probably about 500 m above sea level when we were treated to this beautiful sunset. We had to pull off the road and take it all in before completing the drive to Hawi for dinner.
