Delaware, a state that struggles to be more than the place between New Jersey and Maryland, has laid out a new road trail linking its most scenic spots, and it's set them up with Instagram-ready murals for visitors to pose in front of.
The Delaware Discoveries Trail website shows the spots and all kinds of useful travel info, from three spots in President Biden's home town of Wilmington to Delaware Seashore State Park in the south. The Wilmington attractions focus on the Dupont family, though, not on the new president.
Since Delaware is the second-smallest state, the whole trail can be covered in a day, but you'll need more if you stop to visit the parks, museums and other sites along the way. And, if you send in four of the nine Instagram spots to the website, you'll get a free painting kit. It's not just for artists: the website promises that "After being inspired on the trail, this fun and simple at home art kit lets you pour paint to make your own piece of art. And don’t worry – paint pour kits are fast and fun, no skill required."
