Australian pub crawl takes to the air

With international travel off the table for Australians, new opportunities are arising for domestic travel—including a 4000-kilometer five-day pub crawl by private plane that takes in eight notable pubs.

Offered for the equivalent of about €4800 per person, groups of up to ten fly in a chartered Cessna Caravan spread across the outback. Pubs to be visited include one whose front bar is a collection of memorabilia left behind by visitors, and one with significant art.

Aside from the pubs, there are stops at the Flying Doctors Museum, Australia's largest sand dune, and Marree Man, a geoglyph of a man hunting with a boomerang, carved into the desert by unknown recent artists.

One of the overnight stops is at a hotel where the plane will taxi up to the hotel door.
