Picturing Dolls in Different Places?

Almost hard to find the right headline for this question!

We were sitting on a bench along the Champs Elysees in Paris today, when we noticed this woman holding up a silver-colored ballerina doll, and taking pictures of it against different backgrounds.

I think I've read before about people who do things like this, and then make albums or webpages of the doll in various cities and settings...but I couldn't find anything on line, at least with my attempts at search terms.

Anybody have info or a hint?
