AMC Teams Up With MoviePass For Theater Subscriptions

I think an interesting development for frequent moviegoers ,travelers and students is that AMC decided to test movie subscriptions to theaters with MoviePass .The beta will be in Denver and Boston in January and will let moviegoers watch a  2D movie a day for $35 a month and $45 a month  for movies that include  IMAX and 3D .

Right now, MoviePass offers a service that includes most theaters in the US but doesn't include IMAX & 3D  and getting those movie tickets is not as convenient as what the AMC partnership will be.

Nielsen  said  in early  December that the moviegoing of Americans age 12 to 24 dropped 15 percent in the first nine months of 2014 compared to the same time frame last year.  So this is an attempt to attract youth with a Netflix type of subscription.

What do you think? Is this going to change your movie habits?
