1. Parmarth Niketan

There is no entry fee and you can practice activities like yoga (it is the venue for international yoga festival), meditation, kirtans, satsangs and also attend morning or evening Aarti, etc.

2. Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula

The hanging bridges positioned around 2.5 km apart, both the construction has its own importance and marvels which you should not miss if you are on a trip to Rishikesh. Laxman Jhula is considered to be the path from where lord Laxman crossed the river using jute ropes. It is a 450 feet long bridge whereas Ram Jhula is 750 feet long Bridge. You can also enjoy the boat ride from here in the river.

3. Neer gaddu waterfall

 Just at 5 km distance from Ram Jhula, the short trek of 1.5 km will lead you to the striking Neer Gaddu waterfall. Its small version or small waterfall is visible at 200m trek. The entry fee for the waterfall is 30rs per person. The waterfall will not fail to amaze you once you reach the paramount.

4. Jumpin Heights

Not only does Rishikesh has spiritually rich places but also the adventure activities which is most famous for. Jumpin Heights lies around 15 km from Rishikesh where you can enjoy bungee jumping, giant swing, flying fox ( it is reputed as Asia’s longest flying fox rides)or other activities like trekking, or camping nearby. There is an entry fee of 100 rs/ per person and the visiting stretch may possibly take nearly 3-4 hours. The other activities cost accordingly.

5. Tera Manzil Temple/ Kailash Niketan Temple

It a magnificent architecture of 13 floors as the name suggests and is dedicated to various Hindu gods and goddess. A lot of tourists visit this place during Maha Shivratri. The top most floor would give a paranoiac view of sunset through the hills. It lies near the Laxman Jhula.

6. Triveni Ghat

 Known for its famous evening Aarti, it is something you are recommended not to oversight. It is located at the confluence of 3 rivers- the Ganga, Yamuna and Sarasvati. A lot many people also take a dip in the water before visiting the holy temples of Rishikesh. You can also enjoy boating here and feel the peace along the banks of the river early in the morning when it is less crowded or before the Aarti.

The Aarti timings in winter are 5.30pm-6.30pm and 6.30pm-7.30pm in summers.

7. Bharat Mandir

The oldest temple of Rishikesh is thought to be as old as the Kedarnath temple. The main deity of the temple is Lord Vishnu, who is referred as Hrishikesh Narayan. You can visit the temple after the evening Aarti as well.

The timings are 5am-12pm and 4pm-9pm. You can also see the old museum and can enjoy the amity and tranquility there.
