Right opposite the Dinh Ba Pagoda sits the Dinh Cau Pagoda—probably the most iconic spot in Duong Dong.
Spanned by a wide, clean, white sand beach complete with quirky rock formations a few feet from the shore—where one can wade or walk to depending on the tide, and pose for pictures or cast fishing lines into the water to catch crab, shrimp and other tiny items of seafood— the main draw of this attraction is the imposing lighthouse that occupies the temple grounds and serves as the pivot for sun worshippers and sunset chasers.
A cafe on the verandah of the Dinh Ba temple that connects to the Dinh Cau temple also boasts not only the same delightful range of Vietnamese coffees and an assortment of big and small bites but also the best viewpoints to take in the magic of sundown from a comfortable spot with seating arrangements.
Visiting here on two consecutive evenings, one that could be called a recce and the second a promise to be fulfilled, I spent a few good hours filling my soul with the most memorable experience of sunset that I have ever had in my life.
