On a drive home from Missouri my husband and I spent a couple of days in Hays, Kansas. While in the area we visited the location of the Original Boot Hill Cemetery. Apparently there are more than 80 bodies buried in the cemetery, in which many of them died “with their boots on.” This is why it is called Boot Hill.
