Hjerl Hede Open Air Museum is the largest open-air museum in Denmark. It shows the history of rural life in Denmark, with a main focus on the period from about 1800 until 1950. Our son was an exchange student in high school and went to Denmark. A few years later, after falling in love, he married his Danish girlfriend, produced three of our grandkids and has been living and working there ever since. On a day trip while visiting them, we all went to Hjerl Hede.
