Sometimes a good restaurant really gives you a feel for the city that you are in. And Sweet Potatoes does a great job of capturing the friendly outgoing Southern city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The food is good and also inexpensive for lunch. Most meals are under $10. They have Soul Food and Southern specialties and the dishes are well presented. It’s located downtown at 529 North Trade Street.
I ordered the Meatloaf with an order of Sweet Potato Cornbread Muffins. Desserts change daily. If I would of come the day before, they had my favorite buttermilk pie on the menu. A good reason for me to go back one day!
