While many of us, when we’re lucky enough to have access, find airport lounges a quiet place to wait for a flight and have a bite, Portal Lounges is betting there’s an audience that would rather spend the time shooting aliens or electronically racing down highways.
Portal Lounge, which already operates several Gameway arcades at airports, has just opened its first lounge, combining the food offerings of a traditional lounge with the flashing lights and ‘cool’ atmosphere of an arcade at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. The lounge has 17 gaming stations, a robot bartender and a buffet.
Admission to the new lounge is available for $70, but is also open without charge to Priority Pass members.
