A second installment of the Faces of Afghanistan by my deployed Army colleague.
Before the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, my overseas unit was responsible for training many Army units to deploy into various dangerous areas like Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Middle East and other locations. Many of my men were deployed to various hazardous locations.
On
e of my men, named Joe took a camera along on one of our deploy-ments to Afghanistan and photographed the locals, soldiers and landscapes.Joe was deployed there a few times and returned safely each time. Actually, all my men returned safely over many years of deployments to dangerous global areas.
